Food Diary: Friday through Sunday, July 31-Aug. 2

There were good points and bad points of my eating behavior.

Friday started off with no breakfast, offered a nice of spicy chicken, rice, stir fry veggies and a cup of egg flower soup

Dinner was salmon and crab with some nice new potatoes and a nice salad…and bread…lots of bread. It was like I couldn’t stop eating the bread and they kept brining it. Oh yeah, dinner consisted of a couple of vodka martinis and dessert was a screwdriver. Lots of unnecessary calories

Saturday started better with a nice breakfast…I had a three cheese omelet with spinach, some fruit and a sourdough toast. And coffee…Saturday was a day of lots of coffee.

Lunch was simple, half a peanut butter jelly sandwich and some triscuits

Dinner, dinner was not so good, we had pizza. It tasted good…but i didn’t chow down a few thinly sliced pieces was all I had.

Sunday started with quiche and a salad — think that is called brunch. Again had lots of coffee including a latte.

Snack, well, I had a HUGE cookie.

Dinner: Ham, squash and some sourdough bread.

OK, I feel like this was a good day even though I had no breakfast and had a Dutch Mocha

Lunch was a six-inch tuna salad sandwich with apples and water from Subway

Dinner was chicken and rice made with brown rice and reduced-fat cream of chicken soup, a salad and multigrain role. The worse thing I did was had the last praline truffle from Cranberry sweets.

And I might be on track to do better tomorrow. Oh yeah, the Food Junkie is back on course! Thank Goodness!

Food Diary: Weekend struggles

Monday, July 20th, 2009

OK, Saturday could have been a lot better. Had a lovely western omelet with some sourdough toast. I knew before I went into the cafe that I wasn’t going to have hashbrowns that fruit sounded better…well, that is before I saw grits on the menu. Yes, grits. I’m from the south, I’m not about to pass up grits. It is a small goal of mine to at least try grits made places “up north.” They were good, but I didn’t finish them and I didn’t finish all of omelet — it was a little too much food.

Dinner on Saturday was pizza (It had been a long day of unpacking and other move related things)

Sunday: I didn’t eat anything until about 3, and then it was Mexican food. Found that even after not eating anything, I couldn’t finish most of food. Dinner was fish sticks and mac ‘n’ cheese. (not the greatest, but at least we are able to cook some!)
