Desitnations School

Fontana Brunner Fontana is an excellent example of a student who persevered through many of life's most difficult challenges. During her time in Destinations, she faced many obstacles which she managed to overcome in order to complete her requirements for graduation. Fontana has become a mother to her daughter, Jessica, while in high school, and has succeeded in securing a place to live independently. Her hard work, dedication and goal oriented attitude has given her the ability to now start her career search with confidence. She is kind, helpful and has worked very hard to accomplish her goals.

Kesia Flora Kesia has been a student at Resource Link Charter for two years. During this time she has overcome personal health issues, the death of more than one loved one and the life threatening illness of her young brother for whom she provides substantial care. Through all of these challenges, Kesia has managed to volunteer at the Coos Bay Public Library and South Coast Community Action, attend Southwestern Oregon Community College, and produce creative and academically challenging projects at Resource Link. Kesia's hard work, compassion and determination has not only provided her with her high school diploma, but also a scholarship at SOCC.
