![]() As Trevor entered high school, he decided that a strong education and solid extra-curricular experiences could take him far. Trevor has taken advantage of the challenge of taking the toughest classes at NBHS in order to improve and learn. Trevor has had near perfect attendance, always did his homework, and came to class ready to contribute. As a result of his hard work, he received many hours of college credit while still in high school. He has achieved a very strong GPA despite taking difficult classes. Trevor's dedication to leading a full life shows outside the classroom as well. He has shown maturity and leadership in his activities with church fundraisers, service projects, and youth group organization. His teachers at NBHS recognized this leadership ability and nominated him for Oregon Boys State camp last summer. Trevor has been a counselor at church camps and track clinics and has always shown an ability to relate well with young people. His self-confidence also is evident. He has taken on comedic roles in local plays and high school talent shows, but can do the serious stuff too, like sing in front of a community audience. His athletic career at NBHS is one of the most remarkable aspects of this fine young man. In cross-country, Trevor became an integral team leader of a group of young men who won back-to-back state championships. He has placed highly at the state cross-country meet in his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons and was second in state this past fall. In track, Trevor holds the NBHS freshman record for the 3,000m and has placed in state in that event as well as in the 1,500m. It takes great dedication to be distance runner and Trevor has definitely shown that trait. Trevor retains his wonderful personality and his dreams of making important contributions to the world around him. He is one of the most dedicated and moral young men in our community. He comes from a supportive family and has a great circle of peers. Trevor will certainly make his mark on the world in a positive way. ![]() Kelly has demonstrated a leadership role through her active participation in Key Club, National Honor Society, International Club, and being a Link Leader. In September, she was nominated Girl of the Month. In addition, Kelly was honored as the homecoming queen this year. Her sophomore year, she had the opportunity to perform with the MENC Northwest Women's Honor Choir which was by audition only. Kelly also competed in alto at the State Solo Competition. To top it off, Kelly was the senior coordinator for the Mr. Bulldog program, helping raise more than $66,000 this year. She can also be seen performing at the Little Theatre on the Bay for the Christmas and Summer Opry shows. Kelly is planning to attend the University of Portland where she will major in political science and minor in music. We are confident that she will be successful in her future endeavors. Kelly's hard work and dedication has been a great pleasure for all the staff and students here at North Bend High School. She will be missed. Thank you Kelly!! ![]() Cris has been an outstanding leader serving two years as a class officer and this year as a student body officer. He also started the Spanish Club at North Bend High School. His strength as a leader is two fold. First if he tells you he will do something, he does it. His classmates know he will follow through on whatever he commits to do and it will be done right. His second strength is that he is willing to include everyone when working on a project. He often seeks out students who are not involved and brings them into an activity. His ability to relate to all types of people is demonstrated by his success and involvement at boy's state. He was selected to attend the National Student Leadership Conference. Cris was one of NBHS's 2009 Mr. Bulldog contestants, working extremely hard and helping the group raise more than $66,0000 for the Children's Miracle Network. Cris will be attending University of Portland in the fall, majoring in pre-med. Cris recently received a $2,000 Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Scholarship. ![]() Her positive attitude and her strong leadership have been greatly appreciated at NBHS. Hannah has taken our most rigorous courses such as calculus, writing 121, and anatomy and physiology. Having taken these college level classes, she will leave high school with numerous college credits. Hannah is civic-minded and this mindset was manifest in her involvement with the Mr. Bulldog Pageant where she was the co-chair this year. This is a huge undertaking and thanks to her efforts the pageant was a huge success. The high level of school spirit was one of the characteristics Hannah most enjoyed about attending North Bend High School. Hannah and her family have hosted seven foreign exchange students over the past several years. Hannah is planning to attend the University of Portland, where she will study dentistry. She will no doubt be successful in her endeavors. She has been a pleasure to work with and will be greatly missed. ![]() Tasha exhibits exuberance for life and is totally involved in all aspects that life allows. She is someone fellow students and instructors can always count upon as she thoroughly commits herself to whatever she seeks to achieve. She is undaunted by new experiences and thrives under pressure. Because Tasha is non-critical, she is very popular with the young and old alike, working well in a variety of situations. She is innovative and she is always willing to jump in with both feet. Ms. Livingstone excels in a variety of school activities. She was in charge of the canned food drive this year for Key Club, auditioned two years ago and was accepted into the Wave Dance Company, she has been a two year leader in link crew, a North Bend High School tutor, an officer in National Honor Society and within the community, Tasha has performed and competed in Irish dancing for which she has taken many top honors. Tasha has an exceptional academic performance and has earned the distinction of valedictorian for the Class of 2009 achieving a 4.0 grade point average. ![]() He is very well liked by his fellow peers and I don't believe there's a person he wouldn't call a friend. Troy was the Associated Student Body president this school year. This leadership role involved helping in planning of all school assemblies, setting up student council meetings, school elections, and various other student activities in the school. He was a very active member of Pep Club and helped lead the student body to raise school spirit and provide a fun atmosphere for students. He competed in the 2009 Mr. Bulldog Pageant helping to raise more than $65,000 for the Children's Miracle Network. He was the homecoming k this school year. He plans on attending Western Oregon University, where he will major in physical therapy with a Spanish minor. In Troy's free time he enjoys playing drums and guitar and all outdoor activities. ![]() Erica volunteers a lot of her time in her community and church. She especially enjoys working with young children and has spent a great deal of time being a mentor to others. Erica was one of the 2009 Miss Coos County Scholarship contestants. She was second runner up and earned a two year full ride scholarship (valued at $10,000) to Southwestern Oregon Community College, where she will be attending in the fall. She will eventually transfer to Oreon Institute of Technology, where she will major in dentistry. She was voted by her fellow contestants as "Miss Congeniality" which earned her an additional $400. Her platform for the pageant was "The importance of giving back to your community." ![]() His great efforts are paying off, as Josh won first place honors at a State Auto Body Competition recently, and will be traveling to a national competition in Kansas City this summer. He is successful at balancing classes at Southwestern Oregon Community College, North Bend High School and working. Josh is a personable and dependable young man with great ambition and integrity. He will be missed by all. We wish him well in his endeavors. |
