Zach Barker Student Picture
Zach is engineering a bright future for himself as a student that is carrying an extremely high grade point average along with his friendly and engaging personality. He really likes how his teachers interact with students here at North Bend Middle School and he especially likes both math and history. In school, Zach plays basketball, performs in both the Symphonic and Jazz Bands, and is a member of our Knowledge Bowl team. Outside of school he is raising a 4-H steer and he plays youth soccer and baseball. He is really looking forward to high school because he will get to take more elective classes, especially in woods and construction. Zach is currently thinking toward either engineering or construction contracting as a career.
Brittany Cooper Student Picture
This future entrepreneur really enjoys school because she enjoys being around her friends as well as learning new things. Her favorite class is history because her teacher makes it interesting. During her years at North Bend Middle School she has participated in cross country, track, choir. She also has served as an office aide and been a recipient of our Bullpup awards. Outside of school, she is actively involved with Young Life. Brittany is a kind, caring person as well as being one of our top students academically. Brittany sees a future for herself as a nurse and then a business owner.
Zenora Burris Student Picture
Zenora Dorothy Burris is a student at the Oregon Coast Technology School and is determined to make an impact in her home, school and community. Multi-talented and consistently busy, Zenora balances several activities at once, while still maintaining a very high academic level. Zenora is a daughter of Tom Burris and Mary Lojkovic and spends her spare time at home making tapioca pudding and playing "Settlers of Catan." She wants to attend University at Kalamzoo or Dartmouth, when asked why she said "Because I like the name." She is interested in politics and would like to be able to draw political cartoons.

Zenora is a gifted writer and speaker, is a member of the North Bend Middle School cross country team, and plays the oboe in the band. When asked to give advice to her peers she replied, "When writing history papers don't make stuff up, especially if it is something most people know about." Her favorite subject in school is history where she gets along really well with her teacher Mr. Mateski. Zenora is a great girl with a lot going for her; she can get along with anybody and make you laugh. Her closing statement was "Someday, I hope man and fish, including sharks, will be able to co-exist peacefully." Enough said.
Kylee Woodman Student Picture
Kylee is one of the most outstanding students at North Bend Middle School. She is the daughter of Doug and Sally Woodman and has two older brothers, Brian and Clint, who also are past students at NBMS. Kylee is known for her friendly outgoing personality, great work ethic, and outstanding effort in everything she does.

Athletics and outdoor activities dominate Kylee's time outside of the academic school day. Hunting and camping are activities she shares with her entire family. She is an avid bow hunter having taken both deer and antelope with her bow. She also enjoys spending time whitewater rafting. She has made many interesting river trips in the past, but this last summery she rafted the Rogue River and The Grand Canyon of the Colorado. Kylee was a hard working member if the Bullpup volleyball and basketball teams this year. She also is a very competitive tennis player competing with the 14 and under Barracudas out of the Sweet Tennis Center. Tennis has taken her around Oregon and to the national championships in Texas.

Besides being a fine athlete and citizen, Kylee is one of the schools top students with a 3.85 GPA. Her favorite subjects in school are English and science. At this point she is interested in pursuing a career in veterinary science.
