Bandon Murder Suspect Gabriel Morris
On Feb. 8, 2010, a gunman repeatedly shot Robin L. Anstey, 62, and Robert W. Kennelly Jr., 48, at Kennelly's Bandon-area home. Police filed aggravated murder charges against Anstey's son, Gabriel C. Morris, 33. Morris fled the state with his wife, Jessica Morris, 33, and the couple's 4-year-old daughter that night. A SWAT team arrested Morris in Virginia on Feb. 22, also taking his wife and child into custody. Read More

It started with a phone call Monday, Nov. 9. Cindy Gisholt answered the phone to find her daughter's employer on the other. Jayme Austin never showed up for work. The Coos County Search and Rescue Team started a wide search for the 31-year-old Fairview woman. Police found her body four days later and arrested her brother-in-law, charging him in her murder. LNG Terminal in the North Spit
Liquefied natural gas, or LNG, is natural gas in its liquid form. When natural gas is cooled to minus 259 degrees Fahrenheit (-161 degrees Celsius), it becomes a clear, colorless, odorless liquid. LNG is neither corrosive nor toxic. Natural gas is primarily methane, with low concentrations of other hydrocarbons, water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen and some sulfur compounds. During the process known as liquefaction, natural gas is cooled below its boiling point, removing most of these compounds. The remaining natural gas is primarily methane with only small amounts of other hydrocarbons. LNG weighs less than half the weight of water so it will float if spilled on water. Read More
