Alaska woman upset over missing dog accused of shoving friend out of moving car

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Hmmmm.  I don’t know about you but I’d be willing to bet if we look up “friend” in the dictionary it doesn’t say “Someone you’d be willing to push out of a moving vehicle.”  If it does then I need to re-evaluate my friends LOL

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — Police arrested a North Pole woman accused of shoving her friend out of a moving vehicle. According to a criminal complaint, 34-year-old Christina Louisa Martin and her friend had been drinking at a bar Tuesday night. When they returned to the car, Martin’s dog was gone. The complaint said Martin was so upset at her friend about the missing dog that she shoved her when they started traveling again.

Fairbanks police Lt. Matt Soden said the woman required two stitches to her head, but was otherwise uninjured. He said the car wasn’t going fast.

Martin was charged with assault, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test and leaving the scene of an accident.

Irate woman allegedly threatens postal worker

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Late package, potential jail time.   In weighing this issue I think I would settle for the late package.   I am guessing this lady will be re-thinking her remarks, possibly for a couple of years.  Way to go miss “I am pissed at the post office guy”.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — An off-duty Anchorage police officer arrested a woman accused of threatening to kill a postal worker because a package was late. Anchorage Police Lt. Dave Parker said Officer Cameron Hokenson was at the post office Monday on personal business when he witnessed a 64-year-old woman threaten an employee at the postal counter.

FBI: Man gives teller ID before robbing bank

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

I just don’t know what to say on this one other than “here’s your sign”   I am thinking that frigid arctic air is really starting to effect this guys neurons

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A 34-year-old man is in custody after authorities say he gave a teller his account number and showed her his picture ID before robbing an Anchorage bank.

The FBI says Jarell Paul Arnold of Anchorage is being held on federal bank robbery charges.

The FBI alleges Arnold walked into an Alaska USA Federal Credit Union branch Friday and inquired about the balance on his account. The teller asked for his name, account number and ID.

Authorities say he complied, and then handed over a receipt with a note on the back that said he had a gun and demanded money.

The FBI says he got away with about $600. Authorities arrested Arnold on Monday. A message left after business hours Wednesday with Arnold’s public defender, Michael Dieni, was not immediately returned.

Court records say Arnold was sentenced to 57 months in prison for bank robbery in 2004.
