In checking the stats for a 1998 Nissan Sentra and that of a locomotive I am going to have to say that I give a slight edge to the train. It’s time to abandon the car right away and film it for YouTube.
OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A man whose car became stuck on a set of railroad tracks bailed out before a commuter train plowed into it. Danny Ray Olsen, 62, said he took a wrong turn in Ogden and got his 1998 Nissan Sentra high-centered between two sets of rails Monday evening. He said he saw lights approaching in his rearview mirror and decided to get out.
Utah Transit Authority officials estimate the northbound FrontRunner train was traveling about 55 mph as it approached. The operator hit the emergency brake but there wasn’t enough room to stop. The train hit the car, pushing it more than 100 yards down the track.
The train was nearly empty. No one was injured and no citations were issued.

MILBRIDGE, Maine (AP) — The annual Cod Fish Races in coastal Maine were disrupted when police say alcohol-fueled fighting led to a brawl involving up to 60 people, sending two to the hospital. State Police Trooper Barry Curtis said Saturday’s melee in Milbridge stemmed from a dispute earlier in the afternoon over someone’s driving.
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — Police in Mississippi say a woman was carjacked by a bikini-clad suspect, who they say later tried to rob an RV dealership. Southaven Police Chief Tom Long said the 24-year-old suspect approached another woman in her driveway and demanded the car on Thursday. The woman gave up the car without a fight, asking only for time to remove her young children from inside.
