Keep the meat, leave the veggies: NJ man says bear mugged him for his Italian sandwich

In nature the struggle to survive is harsh, but when you have a bear, a man and an italian sandwich survival becomes easier.  The bear wins and he eats your sandwich.

bearVERNON, N.J. (AP) — A northwestern New Jersey man said he was mugged in his driveway by a sandwich-craving bear. Henry Rouwendal said he was packing his car last Friday when he was hit from behind and knocked to the ground. He said the culprit was a black bear who took his Italian sandwich.

Rouwendal said he kicked the bear in the snout and throat.

He said the bruin made off with the bread, salami and other meats but left behind the lettuce, onions and tomatoes.

Iowa man loses temper with wife during argument, grabs steering wheel and causes a crash

So you’re mad at your wife and driving along and you have a couple of choices, get over it, talk it out, or crash into a wall.  You can bet your sweet bippy very few would choose option number 3, but not this man.

carcrashDES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Police said they arrested a Des Moines man after he reportedly lost his temper with his wife while they were traveling on Interstate Highway 235, wrenched the wheel from her and sent the car careening off the road.

Officers said Saturday night that a 26-year-old man was charged with domestic assault and was being held at Polk County Jail. His 41-year-old wife suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Bad way to make a point: NY bar patron arrested after whacking woman with high-heeled shoe

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. (AP) — This woman really knows how to get to the point – but not in a good way. Police arrested a bar patron early Friday after she whacked another woman on the head with a high heeled shoe. The victim was treated for cuts on her head. The suspect was charged with assault.

Police do not know what started the argument.
