Woman accused of faking breast cancer for implants

Friday, November 13th, 2009

I think she is in the right place, wacky waco.   Who would do something as dishonest as this, playing on the sympathy of generous people to fraud them out of money to help pay for breast implants.   This is just plain wrong.

WACO, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a Texas woman lied about having breast cancer and spent $10,000 raised at a benefit to have her breasts enlarged.

McLennan County sheriff’s investigator James Pack says in court records that 24-year-old Trista Joy Lathern shaved her head to look like a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy.

Pack says Lathern wanted breast implants to try to save her seven-month marriage.

The Waco Tribune-Herald reports that Lathern is charged with theft by deception. Sheriff’s officials and Lathern’s attorney didn’t immediately return phone calls from The Associated Press.

Police seek pudgy naked backyard dancer

Friday, October 9th, 2009

I tell you what this guy has some bollucks (to swipe a phrase from Chef Ramsey).  In Texas shoot first, question second, call friends and neighbors, and then call the police is fairly common.   He hits the wrong back yard and he’s going to be leaking from holes in short order.

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police are looking for a man who they said repeatedly sneaks into backyards, dances around naked and then runs away. Police believe the man has been exposing himself in the same neighborhood since 2005. The most recent incident was on Sept. 30.

Sheriff reprimands deputies over waitress photo

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Come on this is Texas!  I can’t believe this even made the news in Texas, I would expect something like a waitress calendar of the month to be the outcome in Texas!

MIDLAND, Texas (AP) — An embarrassed Sheriff Gary Painter fired one Midland County deputy and suspended three others without pay after a scantily dressed waitress holding a rifle posed for photographs on the hood of a patrol vehicle. Round Rock officers were dispatched to the restaurant after someone reported the waitress with the weapon, which had been given to her by one of the deputies who had been attending a training session near Austin.

The incident occurred last week in the parking lot of a Twin Peaks restaurant, which promotes its “fun, friendly and sometimes flirty atmosphere!”

The deputies told Painter that they had about three to five beers each.

A fifth deputy who remained inside the eatery got a letter of reprimand.

SUV hits Texas church before Sunday service

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

I know some people had a hard time when younger learning left and right, but by the time they drive this should all be sorted out.   Gas pedal on the right, break to the left of that.   Or it could be as simple as she got tired of not getting a front row seat and she thought she’d clear the place out with a small diversion.

Okay so this wasn't the photo, but it looks good

GILMER, Texas (AP) — Three people were injured when an SUV crashed into a church in eastern Texas just as the service was about to start.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Kenneth Nolley told the Tyler Courier Times Telegraph that the SUV crashed into the auditorium of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Gilmer on Sunday morning. Nolley said the driver indicated she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.

Nolley said the driver would not be cited because the accident happened on private property.

The driver was not injured. However, three other people, including two children, were taken to hospitals. All were treated and released.
